They are are gluten & grain free and only use a small amount of honey as sweetener
Plus they last in the freezer for up to 3 months !
3/4 cup almonds
1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
1/4 cup sunflower seeds
2 tablespoons cacao powder
2 tablespoons shredded coconut
1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon ginger powder
2 tablespoons ashwagandha powder (optional)
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons almond butter
2 tablespoons ghee
1/3 cup coconut, for coating
Directions
Grind up the almonds, pumpkin seeds, and sunflower seeds in a blender to make a powder
Add in the cacao, coconut, cinnamon, cardamom, turmeric, ginger, ashwagandha , and salt.
Pour in the honey, almond butter, and gently melted ghee Use your clean hands to mix everything together. Wet the hands slightly to avoid the mixture from sticking as you blend.
roll into balls and dip in shredded coconut
Play around with ingredients as much as you like .. I added ginger and although I love cardamom its not everyones favourite. You can omit the cacao and go more fruity with something like goji berries !!
Store in an air tight container for up to 3 months
